What to Bring
5 Days Atlas Valleys
Preparing for an Atlas Trek requires the same consideration as any mountain expedition. While days can be warm and sunny, mountain weather is notoriously unpredictable, often shifting rapidly from sunshine to snow and biting winds, especially from autumn through late spring. We emphasize a ‘leave no trace’ policy – please pack out all that you bring in.
Atlas Treks are customized to accommodate both the season and your fitness level. You can choose between two main options:
- Base yourself in a Berber Guesthouse, taking daily walks from there.
- Embark on an Atlas Mule Trek lasting two or more days.
For multi-day mule treks, you typically have the choice of overnight stays in Berber Guesthouses, with local families, or wild camping in two-person tents.
